Zero Hours RRV Operator (Reading)

About the role

We are seeking motivated RRV Operators to join our growing rail plant hire team in Reading. This zero‑hours position supports our operations department on site, ensuring safe and efficient use of mobile plant equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate OTP/Mobile Plant safely in line with current rules and standards.
• Use only equipment for which you hold competence and authorisation, under supervision where required.
• Utilise communication devices to enhance safety and coordinate with the team.
• Represent Readypower professionally to improve the customer experience.

Required profile

• Valid, up‑to‑date PTS (AC and DCCR) certification.
• Current OTP Core competency and OTP Machine Operator – Excavator and OTP Crane Operator – Excavator Crane qualifications.
• CPCS or an equivalent nationally recognised competence.
• Good knowledge and experience of railway operations.
• Right to work in the UK.

• PTS (AC and DCCR) certification.
• OTP Core competency.
• OTP Machine Operator – Excavator.
• OTP Crane Operator – Excavator Crane.
• CPCS or equivalent.
• Railway knowledge and experience.
• Optional: LUL BTA ticket, DLR TA ticket, OTP attachment competencies.
