1st Line IT Support Officer

About the role

Our client, a leading charity, is seeking a proactive and customer‑focused 1st Line IT Support Officer to join a busy, collaborative team on an ongoing contract. The role provides the first point of contact for all IT queries and supports the efficient running of the organisation’s IT and CRM functions in a hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line IT support to all employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Act as the initial contact for IT queries, ensuring timely resolution or escalation.
• Liaise with external IT providers and suppliers to resolve technical problems.
• Configure laptops, mobile devices, user accounts and access for new starters.
• Manage user accounts for systems such as Cloudbooking and other business applications.
• Maintain accurate records of IT equipment and asset tracking.
• Support the Senior IT and CRM Manager with IT projects as required.
• Assist with maintenance of office equipment, including printers and peripherals.
• Support facilities operations, including ordering stationery and kitchen supplies.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an IT support role within an office environment.
• Strong knowledge of troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Exchange and cloud‑based systems.
• Familiarity with hybrid working environments.
• Desirable experience in a medium or large organisation, understanding of IT networks, or experience in the charity sector.
