Accommodation Advisor (Graduate Opportunity)

About the role
The Accommodation Advisor will join the University of Sunderland’s Accommodation Services Team to support students living in halls of residence. This 18‑month fixed‑term position is designed for recent graduates who are passionate about creating a welcoming and safe residential environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide first‑line advice and assistance to students regarding accommodation queries and issues.
- Assist with room allocations, move‑in and move‑out processes, and conduct regular property inspections.
- Liaise with Student Support Services, the Students’ Union and academic faculties to ensure a coordinated approach to student wellbeing.
- Handle conflict resolution, health and safety concerns, and emergency procedures within halls.
- Organise and deliver induction tours and information sessions for new residents.
Required profile
- Graduated from the University of Sunderland within the last two years.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive problem‑solver with a customer‑focused attitude.
- Experience in a student‑focused or customer‑service environment.
Required skills
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Ability to manage multiple queries and prioritize tasks.
- Team collaboration across university departments.
