Account Executive - Drinks FMCG

About the role

The Advocate Group is recruiting, on behalf of a leading FMCG business, an Account Executive for its Commercial division. The role supports the National Team across the Grocery and wholesale customer portfolio and is described as highly developmental, with a path toward National Account Executive. It is full-time, hybrid, with two days per week in the London office, and pays £35,000 per year plus bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Grocery and Wholesale sales team with day-to-day commercial administration
• Help with forecasting, spend tracking, promotional administration, new line forms, SKU changes and reporting
• Manage customer communications such as regular reports, category updates and buyer support packs
• Attend trade exhibitions and represent the product portfolio to customers
• Gradually gain exposure to customer meetings, store visits, account accompaniments and product development
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong customer relationships
• Support the wider team and take ownership of agreed tasks and projects

Required profile

• Commercially curious, proactive and keen to develop a career in sales or account management
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, able to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines
• Quick learner, comfortable working at pace in a busy commercial environment
• Confident, personable and articulate with customers and internal teams
• Previous Grocery, FMCG, food, drink, wholesale or foodservice experience is beneficial but not essential; a strong graduate is also considered

Required skills

• Strong with Excel and Microsoft Office, numbers and data
• Retailer portal experience is advantageous
