Account Manager – Hybrid – £27k-£30k + Benefits

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to manage and grow an existing portfolio of customers for a global manufacturing and technology business. Based in Gateshead with hybrid working, the role focuses on building long‑term relationships rather than cold calling.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop existing customer accounts.
• Build long‑term relationships and deliver regular account reviews.
• Identify cross‑sell, upsell and new product opportunities.
• Manage opportunities from enquiry through quotation to completion.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and pipeline activity.
• Prepare quotations and support tender opportunities.
• Collaborate with technical, operations and customer support teams to deliver excellent outcomes.

Required profile

• Experience in Account Management, Customer Success, Client Relationship Management or Internal Sales.
• Proven track record of growing existing accounts.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Good commercial awareness and a proactive approach.
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Experience with technical or engineered products is beneficial but not essential.
