Account Manager

About the role

Our client in Poole is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their office‑based sales team. Working 40 hours per week, you will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of customers, driving growth and ensuring high levels of service.

Key responsibilities

• Make a daily volume of outbound calls and respond promptly to email enquiries.
• Schedule appointments for Business Development Managers and keep all opportunities up‑to‑date in the CRM.
• Prepare and follow up on quotes, coordinating with stock, delivery and pricing teams.
• Document every customer interaction – calls, emails, tasks, projects and opportunities – in the CRM.
• Analyse accounts to identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities and recommend new product ranges.
• Maintain strong client relationships, anticipate needs and manage complaints professionally.
• Track NPS scores and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Use CRM and ERP data to produce meaningful commentary for customers.
• Arrange regular account reviews with the BDM and sales support teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in account management or a similar sales role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a broader sales team.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
