Account Manager – Medical (Healthcare Communications)

About the role

Real Chemistry is seeking an Account Manager to lead medical‑focused client projects within its EMEA Medical Education practice. Based in London (with opportunities in Manchester), you will be the primary day‑to‑day contact for pharmaceutical and biotech clients, ensuring delivery of high‑quality communications and marketing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main client liaison, providing regular status updates, responding to queries and managing expectations on timelines and scope.
• Plan and execute multiple medium‑sized projects simultaneously, coordinating internal team meetings, delegating tasks and monitoring progress.
• Review and refine content produced by junior team members, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client strategy before senior review.
• Identify growth opportunities within existing programmes and contribute ideas for new tactics or services.
• Support new‑business initiatives by participating in pitch development and client presentations.
• Coach and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing client‑facing projects in the healthcare or medical communications sector.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate client briefs into actionable project plans.
• Demonstrated capability to work autonomously while coordinating cross‑functional teams.
• Interest in medical education and a willingness to stay informed about industry trends.
