Accounts and Advisory Manager (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts and Advisory Manager to join a top‑100 independent accountancy practice in Banbury. Working hybrid, you will lead a portfolio of rural clients, delivering high‑quality accounting, tax planning and advisory services while supporting the firm’s growth ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a diverse client portfolio, conducting meetings, approving tax computations and providing strategic tax advice.
• Deliver technically robust advisory reports and guidance, ensuring compliance and high service standards.
• Lead, coach and review a team of accountants, fostering technical capability and confidence.
• Drive operational efficiency by overseeing workflow, WIP, billing, compliance trackers and technology adoption.
• Identify and pursue advisory opportunities within existing and new client relationships, contributing to business development.
• Collaborate across practice teams on firm‑wide initiatives, best‑practice projects and technology enhancements.

Required profile

• Qualified ACCA, ACA or CTA.
• Minimum five years’ experience in an accountancy practice with portfolio management responsibilities.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proven experience in client‑facing roles and proactive planning.
