Accounts Manager

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a respected mid‑tier accountancy practice in Sidcup. The firm is expanding and seeks an Accounts Manager to lead a portfolio of owner‑managed businesses and entrepreneurial clients, providing trusted advice on accounts and tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors.
• Review statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Provide proactive advice and support to clients.
• Oversee workflow and review work produced by junior team members.
• Build strong, long‑term client relationships and identify value‑adding opportunities.
• Mentor and support junior staff members.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience with strong practice background).
• Recent experience working in an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and client‑management abilities.
• Proactive attitude with ambition to develop a career.
