Admissions Officer – Independent School

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Admissions Officer to join a leading independent school in Blackburn. The role is pivotal in driving pupil recruitment, building relationships with families and schools, and managing the full enrollment journey.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the admissions pipeline from initial enquiry to final enrolment.
• Develop and maintain relationships with parents, pupils, and feeder schools.
• Plan and deliver Open Mornings, Taster Days and scholarship assessments.
• Maintain the MIS (SIMS) database and produce statistical reports for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven ability to convert enquiries into registrations with a sales‑focused mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presenting a calm and professional demeanor.
• Strong organisational skills to handle complex administration and multiple deadlines.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel
• SIMS (school information management system) – preferred

What we offer

• 12‑month fixed‑term contract, full‑time (40 hours per week).
