Allocation Assistant

About the role

Driscoll's is seeking a proactive Allocation Assistant to support the coordination and optimisation of fruit allocation within its Maidstone packhouse. You will ensure that production orders receive the right quantities of fruit at the right time, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate fruit to production orders accurately and on schedule.
• Create, manage, and process production jobs and orders in the ERP system.
• Monitor stock levels, incoming goods and anticipate potential shortages.
• Review product quality and packaging before allocation.
• Liaise with Supply Chain, Sales, Technical and Production teams.
• Identify and resolve stock discrepancies and manage returned stock.
• Maintain and update documentation, Bills of Materials and system records.
• Participate in daily and weekly planning meetings.

Required profile

• Structured and proactive professional with 0‑3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in food or fresh produce.
• Strong organisational, planning and detail‑orientation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Willingness to work in a packhouse environment, including unsociable hours.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems (Prophet is a plus).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
