Apprentice Production Technician

About the role

We are supporting an established engineering company in Cambridgeshire that is looking for an Apprentice Production Technician. This full‑time apprenticeship combines on‑the‑job training with three days of college each week during the first year.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble equipment and prepare it for shipping.
• Process customer orders and manage returned equipment, including repairs, testing and recalibration.
• Oversee stock by unpacking, labeling, and ensuring quality of parts.
• Control material flow, raise purchase orders and track purchase order progress.
• Maintain a clean and tidy working area.

Required profile

• Proactive attitude with practical, manual dexterity.
• Confident communication skills.
• Basic IT competence.
• Access to reliable transport.
• Desirable: experience with manual projects such as repairs, decorating or construction, and own car.

• Basic IT usage.
