Architect – Gateway 2 Specialist

About the role

An established architectural practice in London is looking for an Architect with strong Gateway 2 experience to join its growing team. The role focuses on compliance, technical coordination and delivery, with a particular emphasis on building safety and Gateway 2 submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Gateway 2 submissions and ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act.
• Coordinate technical aspects across residential and commercial workplace projects.
• Maintain high‑quality design outcomes while meeting the latest regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical detailing and support through RIBA stages 3 to 5.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and take ownership of project packages.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience with Gateway 2 submissions and a clear understanding of the Building Safety Act.
• Experience across RIBA stages 3‑5 with a strong technical focus, preferably on residential projects.
• Good knowledge of building regulations, compliance processes and technical detailing.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a structured studio environment.
