Architectural Project Coordinator – In‑house Council Team

About the role

This position supports a large London council’s in‑house design services team, coordinating capital projects across housing, education, culture and leisure. Working on a hybrid basis, you will manage projects from initial survey through to handover, ensuring delivery in line with the RIBA Plan of Work.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams, external consultants and contractors to develop project briefs and deliver solutions.
• Oversee project documentation, monitoring progress and ensuring compliance with legal agreements, regulations and industry standards.
• Manage the full project lifecycle, from initial survey and recommendations to final handover to relevant parties.
• Maintain coordination with services, partners and stakeholders throughout each project.

Required profile

• Technical design background, preferably as an architect, architectural technician, job‑runner or project surveyor.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration and ability to interpret legal and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working on multiple, simultaneous projects of varying scale and typology.
