Architecture Lead on Equipment Management

About the role

Airbus is seeking an Architecture Lead for Equipment Management to define the future strategy of Product Data Management and drive a major digital transformation within its DPPP organisation. Based in Filton, Bristol, you will lead the design and evolution of the Equipment Model Management (EMM) solution that underpins the lifecycle of aircraft technical data.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the end‑to‑end strategy and roadmap for Equipment Model Management, ensuring alignment with the Open PLM platform and Airbus digital landscape.
• Validate the design of the new EMM product, guaranteeing technical compliance and business fit for upcoming aircraft programmes.
• Collaborate with architects, system analysts and development teams across France, Spain, the UK, Germany and India to modernise legacy systems into cloud‑native, micro‑service and sovereign architectures.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to transnational teams, ensuring delivery of a single source of truth for over 10,000 users.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading architecture initiatives in complex, data‑intensive environments.
• Strong understanding of Product Data Management and PLM concepts within the aerospace sector.
• Ability to work in a multi‑national, cross‑functional team and influence stakeholders.
