Area Engineering Manager

About the role

KP Snacks, part of the Intersnack family, is looking for an Area Engineering Manager for its Ashby de la Zouch site. The role leads a team of Maintenance Leads and Engineers, supports major site investment and new production capability, and drives equipment reliability and operational excellence. It is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop engineering teams, coaching and supporting Maintenance Leads and engineers to build capability and a high-performing culture.
• Ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance planning, resource management and continuous improvement.
• Help implement and optimise new production lines and equipment to support site growth and investment projects.
• Improve OEE, reduce downtime, strengthen maintenance strategies and asset performance.
• Work with operational and strategic stakeholders to deliver projects and support the site's long-term engineering vision.

Required profile

• Mechanical and/or electrical engineering qualification (HNC/HND, degree or equivalent).
• Experience leading, coaching and developing engineering teams.
• A continuous improvement mindset and strong planning and organisational skills.
• Confident stakeholder management across all levels.
• FMCG manufacturing experience is desirable; project or budget management experience is an advantage but not essential.

Required skills

• Knowledge of CMMS, TPM and RCA methodologies is desirable.
