Area Sales Manager – Plant Hire (North London & Northern Home Counties)

About the role

The Area Sales Manager – Plant Hire will lead sales of powered access, handler hire and related equipment across North London and the Northern Home Counties (Oxford to Stevenage). You will manage existing accounts and actively pursue new business within the construction sector.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a portfolio of powered access, handler hire, contract hire and machine sales to main contractors, sub‑contractors and end‑users.
• Maintain and grow the existing client base, ensuring high levels of service and repeat business.
• Identify and secure new opportunities, targeting projects ranging from £500k to £1m+.
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to the area’s turnover of over £1 million.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts and coordinate delivery with operations teams.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience in the plant hire or equipment hire sector.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the assigned area.
• Highly organised, motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage existing accounts while generating new business.
