Assistant Finance Director – Group Accounts

About the role

The Assistant Finance Director – Group Accounts will lead the Group’s financial accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely consolidated reporting across the Trust. Reporting to the Deputy Finance Director – Financial Services & Capital, this senior position works closely with senior leaders to influence strategic decisions and shape the future of financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly consolidated accounts for the Group.
• Prepare year‑end accounts for the Trust and the consolidated Group.
• Lead the external year‑end audit process.
• Monitor cash flow, forecast financial positions and manage treasury and cashiers.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Maintain financial controls, including balance‑sheet reconciliations.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in finance or accounting within a large, complex organisation.
• Ability to work with senior executives and influence strategic decision‑making.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on financial governance and compliance.
• Experience managing and developing finance teams.
