Assistant Manager - Pub

About the role

The Noble Comb, a family-friendly Hungry Horse pub in Shipley, is looking for an Assistant Manager to join its management team. You will work closely with the General Manager to run the pub day to day, leading the team and making sure every customer gets the experience the brand is known for. The post is full time, permanent and paid between £31,000 and £35,000 plus bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in leading the pub and take charge in their absence
• Lead by example on the floor and be hands-on during busy services
• Motivate, coach and develop the team
• Ensure customers receive great service from arrival and help drive sales
• Keep standards high across service, food, drink and the overall pub
• Support rotas, recruitment, training and team development
• Champion health, safety and brand standards
• Build strong relationships with the team and the local community

Required profile

• Ideally experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader in a busy pub, restaurant, bar, hotel, retail or similar fast-paced environment
• Natural leader who is comfortable making decisions and managing a busy shift
• Customer focused and commercially minded
• Passionate about coaching and developing people
• Previous hospitality management experience is great, but people from other fast-paced customer-focused environments with the right attitude are also considered
