Assistant Project Manager – Financial Services (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established financial services organisation that is driving a series of strategic transformation and business improvement initiatives. As an Assistant Project Manager you will support a variety of projects from inception through to implementation, working closely with senior project leadership and key stakeholders in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination and delivery of business and transformation projects.
• Maintain project plans, status reports, RAID logs and other documentation.
• Monitor milestones, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Assist with stakeholder management, governance activities and reporting for senior leaders.
• Facilitate meetings, workshops and working groups, tracking actions and ensuring timely delivery.
• Contribute to process‑mapping and business‑improvement initiatives.
• Support change‑control and governance processes in both Agile and Waterfall environments.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Analyst, PMO, Assistant Project Manager or Junior Project Manager.
• Background in Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Wealth Management, FinTech or another regulated sector.
• Strong organisational abilities with capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and analytical problem‑solving skills.
