Assistant Site Manager

About the role

The Assistant Site Manager will support the delivery of a high‑quality mixed‑use residential development, ensuring apartments are built on time, safely and to the highest standards. Working closely with senior management and the on‑site team, you will help drive programme performance and maintain exceptional build quality.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the build programme to meet project timelines and deliver apartments on schedule.
• Coordinate site operations, labour, plant and subcontractors to maintain productivity.
• Monitor construction quality, conduct regular inspections and resolve defects to achieve a “right first time” standard.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation, conduct site inductions and safety inspections.
• Plan upcoming work stages, secure materials and resources, and liaise with internal teams for smooth delivery.
• Collaborate with sales and customer teams to prepare homes for handover and support customer visits.

Required profile

• Experience with a high‑quality residential developer or main contractor.
• Assistant site management experience on apartment, hotel or student accommodation projects.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on programme while maintaining build quality.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of construction methods, quality standards and health & safety legislation.
