Associate / Associate Director - Fire Safety Consultant

About the role

Urban Change, a multidisciplinary consultancy focused on a resilient and sustainable built environment, is looking for an Associate or Associate Director with extensive experience in fire safety in construction and in the remediation or refurbishment of existing buildings. The role is home-based but requires travel to meet clients, visit project sites and join the team. Key responsibilities

• Service delivery as the primary responsibility, working alongside the founding Directors to build long-term client relationships.
• Deliver projects across the UK, assisting owners and operators of existing buildings.
• Provide design consultancy and construction advisory services.
• Play an active part in the growth and development of the business.

Required profile

• Minimum of 6-10 years' experience.
• Masters degree level education.
• Professionally qualified or working towards professional recognition (e.g. CEng).
• British or European citizen with a full driving licence.
• Outstanding technical capability, strong project management skills and confidence applying risk management and fire safety engineering principles.
• Working knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, codes and standards, and good knowledge of construction products and materials.
