About the role
The Department of Management at the London School of Economics is creating a new Governance, Environment, and Technology group. It seeks an Associate Professor to lead world‑leading research and teaching on political economy, governance, and organisational responses to environmental and technological challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Management, economics, and quantitative methods.
- Conduct and publish rigorous empirical research using quasi‑experimental and quantitative approaches.
- Secure competitive external research funding and contribute to the group’s research strategy.
- Participate actively in departmental, school, and university activities, including seminars and committees.
Required profile
- PhD in economics, a closely related social science, or an interdisciplinary field.
- Proven record of outstanding research with multiple high‑impact publications, at least two world‑leading.
- Demonstrated ability to attract or strong potential to attract external research funding.
- Experience teaching Management students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
