Associate Software Engineer – AI‑Enabled Software Delivery

About the role

Join Zurich Nova’s AI‑focused team as an Associate Software Engineer, helping to shape the future of AI‑driven software delivery. You will work in a hybrid setting from Warminster, collaborating with both technical and non‑technical colleagues to turn cutting‑edge AI research into practical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve real business problems using AI‑enabled software.
• Build, test and improve AI‑driven solutions, from concept through technical implementation.
• Use prompting, model interaction and software engineering techniques to shape better outcomes.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical language for diverse audiences.
• Explore emerging technologies and propose safe, effective, commercial applications.
• Challenge assumptions, improve existing interfaces, workflows and systems.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in software engineering, computer science or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver meaningful engineering outcomes and explain technical concepts clearly.
• Natural curiosity about AI, emerging technology and how systems fit together.
• Resilience, emotional intelligence and comfort with ambiguity, experimentation and iteration.
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas in simple terms.
