Audit Quality Manager – London (Hybrid) – £70-75k

About the role

Our client, a respected mid‑tier accountancy firm with national and international reach, is looking for an Audit Quality Manager to join its central quality and risk team. This hybrid, full‑time position moves you away from day‑to‑day client delivery and into a strategic, firm‑wide role focused on elevating audit quality, ensuring regulatory compliance, and embedding best practice.

Key responsibilities

• Drive audit quality initiatives and promote best practices across the firm.
• Conduct cold file reviews, perform root‑cause analysis and support remediation.
• Monitor audit regulatory developments and ensure firm‑wide compliance.
• Help evolve internal methodologies, policies and procedures.
• Assist internal audit and assurance projects related to audit performance.
• Collaborate with training leads to upskill audit teams based on quality insights.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to champion audit quality culture.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Recent, strong experience in audit within a UK professional services firm.
• Deep understanding of ISAs, audit regulation and root‑cause analysis methodology.
• Experience conducting audit file reviews is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with senior stakeholders.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and quality‑driven.
