Audit Semi‑Senior

About the role

TC Group, a fast‑growing top‑20 UK accountancy firm, is looking for an Audit Semi‑Senior to join its Colchester office. This position is ideal for an Audit Assistant ready to take on greater responsibility and develop technical and client‑facing skills within a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with planning, execution and completion of audit assignments.
• Perform fieldwork in line with firm methodology and auditing standards.
• Identify audit risks and develop appropriate audit responses.
• Test and evaluate internal controls, systems and financial information.
• Investigate findings, raise anomalies and prepare well‑documented working papers.
• Help draft audit reports and completion documentation.
• Develop an understanding of clients’ businesses and provide practical improvement recommendations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of auditing standards and regulatory developments.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months’ experience in an external audit environment.
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Proven ability to perform audit testing and prepare working papers.
• Familiarity with audit and accounts production software.
