Audit Senior

About the role

Reed Practice is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join its busy Audit and Accounts team in Southampton. You will play a key part in delivering high‑quality audit assignments, from planning through to completion, while supporting the development of junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and finalise audit and accounts preparation assignments in line with internal processes.
• Prepare financial statements and tax computations for client review.
• Present audit files to Business Advisors and Directors and keep them updated on progress.
• Monitor audit assignment budgets and ensure timely delivery.
• Set objectives for junior audit staff, supervise on‑site work and provide on‑the‑job training.
• Review junior staff work, give constructive feedback and support their professional growth.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) – part‑qualified candidates will also be considered.
• Recent audit experience in a practice environment, including leading assignments from planning to completion.
• Strong knowledge of FRS102.
