About the role
A supportive and inclusive school in Basingstoke is seeking a dedicated Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Teaching Assistant. The role starts as soon as possible and offers a daily rate of £85‑£105. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to help pupils with autism access learning in a structured, nurturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with ASD.
- Implement personalised learning and behaviour strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to adapt classroom activities.
- Encourage independence, communication and emotional regulation.
Required profile
- Patient, caring and proactive attitude.
- Experience working with children with SEND (desirable).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Genuine passion for supporting children with autism.
- Commitment to inclusive education and positive outcomes.
