Automotive Logistics Planner

About the role

Join a leading automotive manufacturer as an Automotive Logistics Planner, supporting the seamless flow of components for vehicle production. This six‑month, full‑time position is based in Crewe and works closely with internal departments and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with styling, engineering, quality, manufacturing and project teams to understand part requirements.
• Coordinate timely deliveries to match production schedules for both Mulliner and mainstream lines.
• Support the introduction of new parts for upcoming models, tracking changes and securing supply.
• Organise transport and scheduling to meet critical build‑phase deadlines.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and address delivery challenges.
• Monitor component flow, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Participate in weekly KPI reviews covering Right First Time (RFT) and delivery performance.
• Raise and manage purchase orders in line with company policy.
• Validate part specifications against project data.

Required profile

• Proven experience in parts coordination or logistics within manufacturing or automotive environments.
• Strong engagement skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage schedules, priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced setting.
• Comfort working within cross‑functional project teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving, organisational abilities and a sense of ownership.
