About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Band 5 Ward Nurses to join our friendly team on Harty Ward at Sheppey Community Hospital, Kent. The role offers a supportive preceptorship for newly qualified nurses and the chance to work collaboratively with a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of patient‑focused care and a safe, clean working environment.
• Provide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care, ensuring accurate records.
• Communicate effectively with patients, carers and the wider care team.
• Promote positive relationships among all staff involved in patient care.
• Act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a current licence to practice.
• Passionate about patient rehabilitation and encouraging independent living.
• Willingness to work all shift patterns, including nights and weekends.
• Confidence using IT systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.
