About the role

Join the Children and Family Health Surrey team as a Bank Band 5 Immunisation Nurse, delivering vaccination programmes across schools and community settings in North‑East Surrey. You will work within a supportive environment that values wellbeing and professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver school and community immunisation programmes in line with local policies, PGDs and SOPs.
• Administer vaccines safely, maintain cold‑chain integrity and ensure accurate documentation.
• Prepare, transport and manage immunisation equipment and vaccine stock for each session.
• Act as Lead Nurse when competent, supervising bank nurses, students and other team members.
• Maintain up‑to‑date clinical knowledge, participate in training, audits and professional development.
• Communicate effectively with children, families and multidisciplinary teams, adapting language as needed.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualified to Band 5 level.
• Experience working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.
• Understanding of partnership working with GPs, community services and local education authorities.
• Commitment to CQC standards and safeguarding best practice.
