About the role
Glenholme Healthcare is recruiting a Bank Care Assistant for its Bispham Gardens home in Blackpool. The post covers absences and offers flexible day and night shifts; working hours and days vary because it is a bank position. The pay is stated as £13 per hour, with the final rate discussed at interview. An Enhanced DBS check is required.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred care to individuals, especially those living with dementia
- Support daily living tasks such as personal care, meals and medication
- Engage residents in activities that enrich their quality of life
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Monitor and report changes in residents' wellbeing
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals
Required profile
- Caring, empathetic and friendly personality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and grow professionally
- Flexibility to work varied shifts based on service needs
- Dementia care experience is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided
