Bank Registered Nurse (RMN/RNLD) – Darlington

About the role

We are seeking Bank Registered Nurses (RMN/RNLD) to join the specialist residential service at Hollyhurst in Darlington. The role involves providing high‑quality nursing care to people with learning disabilities and complex needs, including mental health support, on a flexible shift pattern that may include days, nights and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate written reports based on nursing assessments and observations.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop, audit and improve the service.
• Attend all mandatory training and engage in continuous professional development.
• Ensure individual care plans are complete, up‑to‑date and shared with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer prescribed medicines in line with NMC and Healthcare Commission guidelines.

Required profile

• Open, compassionate, honest and resilient.
• Experienced RMN with a current PIN number.
• Good knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and current nursing best practice.
• Ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits and deputise in a clinical‑lead role.
• Focused on patient recovery, risk management and promoting independence.
