Bank Support Worker – Mental Health Inpatient (Part‑time)

About the role

You will work flexible bank hours providing direct support to men admitted for acute mental health episodes at Cygnet Victoria House. The role involves delivering compassionate care, assisting with daily living skills, and helping service users prepare for discharge back into the community.

Key responsibilities

• Offer enhanced, person‑centred care on a flexible bank‑shift basis.
• Provide physical and emotional support, guidance and encouragement.
• Assess individual needs and deliver appropriate assistance.
• Assist with medical and welfare requirements and report as needed.
• Safeguard service users and maintain a safe, clean environment.

• Sensitive, intuitive and able to create a trusting environment.
• Passionate about empowering service users and supporting independence.
• Willing to complete face‑to‑face and online training within the first months.
