Banking Business Architect (VP) – Sales & Trading

About the role

The investment bank is expanding its Banking Business Architecture team in London and seeks a senior Business Architect to lead the design of the Target State Business Architecture for Sales & Trading across EMEA. This permanent, hybrid position offers the chance to shape capability maps, operating models, value streams and business services for multiple legal entities and branches.

Key responsibilities

• Design the EMEA Target State Business Architecture, including capability maps, operating models, value streams and business services.
• Collaborate with departments, functions and regional teams to align architecture with macro‑level business strategy.
• Develop and sequence a roadmap to implement the target state while balancing cost, delivery time and risk.
• Assist business units in clarifying strategy to support detailed architecture design.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing organisation‑wide, multi‑entity target state business architectures.
• Deep understanding of sales and trading operations within banking.
• Ability to work across cross‑functional and cross‑regional teams.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
