Behaviour Mentor – Primary School (KS2) – Hackney

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming primary school in Hackney. The role starts in September and focuses on supporting KS2 pupils with behavioural, emotional, and engagement needs. You will work both one‑to‑one and in small groups, using positive strategies to help children thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to pupils with challenging behaviour, ADHD, SEMH or related needs.
• Implement and monitor individual behaviour plans in collaboration with teachers and the SENCO.
• Deliver small‑group sessions to develop emotional regulation and classroom participation.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting children with challenging behaviour.
• Calm, patient and confident when managing difficult situations.
• Ability to travel to Hackney daily.
• Strong teamwork skills to work closely with teachers and SEN staff.
