Bench Repair Specialist (Electronics)

About the role

Join a fast‑growing telecom and electronics pioneer as a Bench Repair Specialist in Solihull. You will work with cutting‑edge niche technology valued up to £200k, performing hands‑on diagnostics, repairs and refurbishments while supporting R&D projects. The role offers a structured technical training programme, flexible start/finish times and a clear fast‑track progression path.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing, component‑level repair, servicing and refurbishment of advanced telecom hardware.
• Contribute directly to innovative R&D, design support and product‑improvement projects.
• Work from a workshop‑based environment in Solihull with flexible daily hours to maintain work‑life balance.

Required profile

• Proven background as an Electronic Engineer, Bench Technician, PCB Repair Specialist or Test Engineer.
• Demonstrated experience soldering electronics and repairing down to component level.
• Strong fault‑finding ability on complex circuits and components, even without schematics.
• Relevant qualification (HNC, HND, BTEC, NVQ or Degree) in Electronics/Telecoms is desirable, but practical expertise is highly valued.
