Bid Manager – Construction

About the role

We are partnering with a leading construction organisation to find an experienced Bid Manager for their Plymouth office. The role is focused on winning new work by leading the end‑to‑end bid process and delivering compelling, high‑quality proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full bid lifecycle from planning, strategy development, writing, to final submission.
• Research client requirements and translate them into winning commercial approaches.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure proposals reflect operational capabilities and project benefits.
• Coach and support the bid team, fostering high‑performance outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven record of securing profitable contracts, preferably with an operational or project‑management background.
• Strong understanding of tendering processes and ability to articulate differentiators.
• Degree‑level education is preferred.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent).
• Microsoft Office suite.
