Bid Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our Commercial team at SBFM's Leeds head office. Reporting to the Head of Bid Management, you will lead the end‑to‑end tender process, delivering high‑quality, client‑focused proposals that support our growth.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor new tender opportunities and support the Bid/No‑Bid decision process.
• Manage the full bid lifecycle from opportunity identification to submission, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Write, edit and refine persuasive bid responses that showcase our value proposition.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Operations and subject‑matter experts to develop tailored solutions.
• Produce compliant, professional submission documents and maintain bid templates and knowledge libraries.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the bid process.
• Contribute ideas to continuously improve bid quality and win rates.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Bid Manager or similar role, preferably in facilities management or a service‑led industry.
• Excellent written communication with strong attention to detail.
• Strong project‑management and organisational abilities, able to handle multiple deadlines.
• Confident stakeholder engagement across all business areas.
• Ability to understand client drivers and craft persuasive responses.
• Experience using procurement portals and managing tender submissions.
• Proactive, collaborative and able to work under pressure.
