Bookkeeper - Rugby

About the role

An established accountancy firm in Rugby, Warwickshire, is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper. The firm is known for its customer experience and for understanding how business owners want their financial information presented. The role is advertised as full time, though part-time work of at least 30 hours per week is also considered.

Key responsibilities

• Take client source documents and post them into an accounting package
• Post and balance bank accounts
• Post payroll journals and depreciation journals
• Prepare and file VAT returns
• Prepare management accounts

Required profile

• AAT qualification (part qualified with relevant experience will be considered)
• QBE (qualified by experience) is considered if you can show the ability to produce bookkeeping for clients

Required skills

• Experience with cloud-based software
• Accounting package posting and bank reconciliation

• Salary of £24,000 to £25,000
