Branch Manager - Heating and Plumbing Supplies

About the role

BSS, part of the Travis Perkins Group, is recruiting a Branch Manager for its Sheffield branch. The role leads a team of sales, drivers and warehouse staff and covers everything from admin and stock to product delivery. Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7am-5pm and Friday 7am-4:30pm, with no weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales, hit profit targets and uphold high standards of customer service
• Build lasting relationships with customers and suppliers
• Manage the full operation of the branch, including safety standards, efficient storage and a positive customer experience
• Control sales, margin and overheads to exceed targets
• Lead a Stay Safe culture and motivate a collaborative, high-performing team

Required profile

• Experience in a similar role or as an Assistant Branch Manager
• Proven leadership ability and commercial awareness of business and financial performance
• Excellent communicator and negotiator, comfortable interpreting basic financial and statistical data
• Organised, able to work independently with minimal supervision

Required skills

• Proficiency in IT for day-to-day tasks
• Relationship building with a diverse range of people
