Branded Buyer – Fashion & Trend Management

About the role

Buyers at ASOS work closely with merchandising, design and technical teams to build a commercial, trend‑led product range that resonates with fashion‑focused customers. Senior Buyers are accountable for delivering sales and profit targets through a cohesive product strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a cohesive department range that reflects the brand strategy, avoids gaps or duplication, and is commercially and seasonally sound.
• Collaborate with Design to shape product direction aligned with brand and divisional strategy.
• Deliver department KPIs, drive margin and profit, and address risks in partnership with Merchandising.
• Anticipate customer needs using sales and trend data to create commercial ranges that consider global factors.
• Trade effectively by identifying range gaps and opportunities that maximise department performance while managing risk.
• Maintain deep knowledge of planning and trading documents to inform category analysis and buying evolution.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives to improve efficiency.
• Build ranges considering options, ALB strategy and global requirements, with flexibility to pivot in‑season.
