Building Maintenance Supervisor – Social Housing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Building Maintenance Supervisor to lead our team delivering reactive repairs and planned maintenance for social housing properties in Ealing. This field‑based role sits within the senior management team and is key to ensuring safe, compliant homes for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across occupied properties.
• Allocate operatives and resources to meet service targets and contractual obligations.
• Conduct regular site visits, quality inspections and ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH and company procedures.
• Manage work schedules, minimise resident disruption and act as primary contact for residents.
• Lead, coach and performance‑manage a team of operatives, identifying training needs.
• Monitor and maintain company assets including vehicles, tools, PPE and van stock.
• Oversee material usage, procurement and cost‑effective operations.
• Liaise with client representatives, suppliers and internal stakeholders to coordinate service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in building or property maintenance supervision, preferably within social housing.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, COSHH and industry standards.
• Ability to manage teams, allocate resources and meet performance targets.
• Excellent communication skills for resident and client interaction.

• Annual salary up to £46,338.60.
