Building Safety Resident Liaison Officer

About the role

The Building Safety Resident Liaison Officer will act as the primary point of contact between residents and the housing association on all matters related to building safety, remediation and compliance. You will support the delivery of ISHA’s Resident Engagement Strategy, ensuring residents are informed, consulted and able to provide feedback on safety improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain regular communication with residents about building and fire safety arrangements.
• Support consultation activities, gather resident feedback and translate it into actionable insights.
• Coordinate resident support information, including assistance with Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) or equivalent processes.
• Work closely with the Head of Building Safety, Building Safety Manager, housing and development teams, and external contractors.
• Help ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021 and related regulations.
