Business Analyst – Payments (Hybrid, 6-month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the design and transformation of payments investigation processes for a client in Knutsford. The role involves analysing current workflows, defining future‑state solutions and ensuring processes are efficient and compliant. It is a six‑month contract with the possibility of extension, working hybrid with two days on‑site each week.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and analyse business problems and client requirements related to payments investigations.
• Develop business requirements and translate them into clear documentation.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure solutions meet expectations.
• Support the creation of business cases and feasibility studies for proposed solutions.
• Produce reports on project progress, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Design operational and process solutions and support change‑management activities, including traceability matrices.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of current accounts, packaged bank accounts and insurance.
• Ability to identify automation opportunities and drive process improvements.
• Experience mapping business processes to system workflows and case lifecycles.
• Excellent stakeholder management across business and technology teams.
• Proven ability to translate complex requirements into clear documentation.
