Business Architect - Process Engagement Lead

About the role

Barclays is looking for a Business Architect - Process Engagement Lead in Glasgow to shape and elevate the organisation's key business capabilities, processes and organisation design during its process transformation. The role acts as a trusted partner to senior leaders, ensuring operating models are designed effectively, clearly understood and consistently adopted across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders and use data and management information to identify process optimisation opportunities for capacity creation in relevant business areas.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of banking operations, using data-led insights.
• Take part in projects and initiatives aimed at improving performance and optimisation efficiency.
• Develop reports and presentations on performance and optimisation and share findings with internal senior stakeholders.
• Identify industry trends and recommend changes to performance and optimisation processes.
• Build analytics and reporting on performance and optimisation to mitigate risks and keep operations efficient.
• Identify capacity creation in operations using data and management information.

Required profile

• Advanced stakeholder collaboration and senior-level engagement, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and run high-impact workshops.
• Comprehensive understanding of business architecture, with a focus on enterprise business capabilities and operating model, able to guide design thinking and influence decisions.
• Proven track record of delivering quality outputs against tight deadlines while balancing competing priorities.
• Passion for delivering successful change.

Required skills

• Subject-matter expertise in operating model and zero-based design thinking.
• Experience with process mining and performance analytics.
• Knowledge of risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen and digital.
