Business Development Director - Data Centre
NSC Global · London
Job description
About the role
NSC Global, a Cisco Global Gold Certified Partner delivering network implementation, IT infrastructure and support solutions, is looking for an ambitious, commercially driven Business Development Director to accelerate its growth across the UK. This is a new-business and new-logo focused role: you will identify, develop and win new customers, building relationships from the ground up and developing your own pipeline rather than relying on an established account base.
Key responsibilities
- Drive new-logo acquisition and revenue growth across the UK market.
- Identify and target prospective customers in the data centre, IT infrastructure, technology and mid-market sectors, and build a target-account strategy.
- Open relationships with C-level, CIO/CTO, IT, infrastructure, procurement and commercial stakeholders.
- Generate opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, events and existing relationships.
- Build and manage a new-business pipeline from prospecting through qualification, proposal, negotiation and close.
- Create commercially focused propositions and own the full sales cycle, including lead-to-close accountability.
- Develop land-and-expand opportunities and explore network, infrastructure, field services, professional services, managed services and global support.
- Build relationships with technology partners and service providers, and lead commercial negotiations.
- Work with Solutions, Operations, Service Delivery and Executive Leadership on complex opportunities.
- Own new-logo, revenue, margin and pipeline targets, and maintain CRM activity, forecasting and reporting.
Required profile
- Proven track record of winning new business and acquiring new logos in IT services, technology or infrastructure.
- Experience creating opportunities from a cold or limited relationship base, with a hunter mentality and entrepreneurial approach.
- Experience in the data centre, IT infrastructure, networking, managed services or technology services environment.
- Understanding of the UK mid-market and upper mid-market, with direct access to senior decision-makers.
- Background in a systems integrator, MSP, IT services company, data centre provider or infrastructure business is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally where required.
Required skills
- Demonstrable experience managing the full sales cycle and strong pipeline discipline.
- Commercial acumen covering pricing, margin, negotiation and contracts.
- CRM management, forecasting and reporting.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
