About the role
The Business Development Executive (BDE) will drive early‑stage commercial growth for our Tender Management and Marketplace solutions. Working at the front of the sales cycle, the BDE creates new interest, sources opportunities and builds a strong top‑of‑funnel pipeline.
Key responsibilities
- Proactively generate new business through outbound prospecting (calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, networking).
- Manage and qualify inbound enquiries with timely, professional follow‑up.
- Maintain a consistent flow of early‑stage opportunities into the activation pipeline.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for pre‑activation prospects, building rapport with estimators, procurement and pre‑construction stakeholders.
- Conduct structured discovery to understand prospect workflows, challenges and objectives.
- Capture detailed discovery notes in Salesforce to support onboarding and internal alignment.
- Collaborate with the SDR team to ensure booked demonstrations are well‑qualified.
- Support introductory walkthroughs, develop value‑driven proposals and maintain momentum through structured follow‑ups.
Required profile
- Proactive approach to lead generation and pipeline creation.
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to conduct structured discovery and capture detailed notes.
- Experience working collaboratively with sales and commercial teams.
