Business Development Executive

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Executive to join our growing sales team in Speke, Liverpool. You will work closely with the external sales team and the Business Development Manager to generate new opportunities, nurture existing accounts and contribute directly to revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business prospects through outbound calls and networking.
• Prepare, send and follow up on sales quotations to maximise conversion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, spotting gaps in spend and proposing additional products or services.
• Maintain an accurate and active sales pipeline using the company CRM system.
• Book appointments and coordinate schedules for the Business Development Manager.
• Provide customers with relevant information, samples and updates ahead of visits.
• Support the achievement of territory sales and gross profit targets while adhering to Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, internal sales, telesales or account management.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Demonstrated success generating sales opportunities through proactive outbound activity.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commercial awareness and solid negotiation skills.
• Resilient, results‑focused attitude with a drive to meet targets.

Required skills

• Experience using a CRM system to manage pipelines and customer data.
