Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to accelerate growth in the fast‑expanding EV charging and energy storage market. You will work with a globally recognised engineering organisation, shaping sales strategies and building key relationships across the UK and Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities with EV OEMs, utilities and charging point operators.
• Develop and execute sales strategies for EV charging and battery storage solutions.
• Manage key customer accounts and nurture long‑term partnerships.
• Coordinate technical and commercial bid submissions from inception to contract award.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences and trade exhibitions.
• Travel across the UK and Ireland to meet customers and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical sales or business development within the EV charging or battery energy storage sector.
• Strong account management and commercial negotiation abilities.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into compelling commercial proposals.
